Every photograph on this page is a hunter who booked with us and drove home with the animal in the truck. There is no stock, no borrowed deer and no composite.

They are grouped by season and weapon rather than by year, because a hunter deciding between a rut hunt and a shotgun hunt wants to see what each one produces, not what 2019 looked like.

A word on what you are looking at. Illinois has produced heavy antlered, big bodied deer for decades, and the reason is a combination of soil, agriculture and a season structure that let bucks reach older age classes than they do in much of the Midwest. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources publishes the harvest data behind that if you want to check it.

What you will not see here is a wall of identical hero shots. Some of these are trophy deer by any measure. Some are a first buck, a management deer or a kid on a kids hunt free booking, and those matter just as much here. If you want to know what a specific hunt produces, the honest answer sits next to the price on the hunts and rates page, and the fastest answer is a phone call.

Photographs of the ground itself are thin, and we would rather say that than pad the page. Our cameras run for inventory rather than for scenery. There are two trail camera frames on the ground page which are, honestly, the two most useful pictures we own.
