Five days that bridge archery and firearm season, so you can bowhunt the quiet days and pick up a shotgun when the season opens.
01 · Straight answer
What does a archery and shotgun cost at Bigger Bucks?
A five day combination hunt costs $4,500 and lets you hunt both archery and shotgun on the same trip, with lodging and meals included. It is the most ground and the most weapon options of anything short of full season access.
The problem with booking a single weapon is that you are betting on conditions. A combination hunt removes the bet. You come in on archery, hunt the pre firearm days when the woods are quiet, and then you have a shotgun in your hands for the opener.
Practically this means your guide can be far more aggressive with stand placement early, because a stand he burns on Tuesday is not the stand you are hunting on Friday. It also means a deer you cannot close the distance on with a bow is still a deer you can take later in the week.
At $4,500 for five days this is our most complete short hunt. It suits people who are travelling a long way and want one trip to count.
