December hunting on this ground is a completely different game from November and a lot of people prefer it. The rut is over, the bucks are worn out and hungry, and they go back to a food pattern that is far more predictable than anything you can hunt in the rut.

That means late season food plots and standing crop become the whole strategy. Our plots are planted with exactly this window in mind, and when there is snow on the ground the movement to them in the last hour of light can be remarkable.
